TVS APACHE 150
My first bike in 150 CC engine class is TVS APACHE 150.I was very confused which bike to opt for and I read all the reviews of bikes in this class and I was unable to select one bike.But anyhow I have purchased TVS APACHE 150 two years back and I have a very bad experience with this bike.
Lets checkout the specifications of the bike:
It has a four stroke engine with a single cylinder and displacement of 159.7CC
The Mileage is said to be at 60KMS per litre
It has a kickstarter and a self start feature also
The console is available both digital and analog.
Disc Braking feature
Available in a few colours.
Performance Analysis:
After using the bike for almost a year I had no issueswith the bike but after that the troubles started.The design itself is not good for riding long distances.I had felt severe discomfort to ride the bike or quite a distance.This is meant only to ride for shorter distances.
The mileage is the most painful defect of the bike.Initially the mileage was almost around 50KMS to 55KMS but after using it or 1 year there was a huge drop in the mileage it suddenly dropped to 40KMS per Litre.Maintainance is the major problem of this bike.I had to spend a lot of money on minor problems also.The disc braking system slowly degraded and I had faced problem while riding fast to control the bike.
I regret purchasing this bike and I always felt bad about not opting to another bike in this 150CC class.I should have followed reviews of the existing customers who are using it.
BOTTOMLINE:
Not a good choice to select in the 150CC class where there are many good and durable bikes from other companies.
I prefer not to buy this and just opt for other bikes.
This is just my experience and I suggest to have a thorough view of the bike beore purchasing.
