Recently I bought this bike From Prabas TVS chennai (18.06.08) (red colour) after doing long research.
My bike has done 300 Kms. Its giving me 42 KmPl mileage. Previously I was having Max 100 R which was giving a nice 62 KMPL and decent pickup. The bike comes with the necessary fittings like saree guard. tank guard engine coul etc.
Pros: Looks good. better road stablity. very good pickup. Nice beat from silencer. and a sharp brake. very bright Head light. Nice shocks. foldable foot rest
cons: It seems there is a neutral in between every gears, which makes the rider irritated during peak hour driving. clutch is harder compared to HONDA and others. Not for the shorter people (If you are below 5' 5" don't go for it) severe back pain after long drive. lots of display problem. Turning radius is only 41degree.
*Review Update
Now my bike has completed 2500 Kms. After first service the gear problem is reduced and the mileage increased to 51.5 Kmpl (City) & 54 Kmpl (highway).
Last week I went to Tirupathy from chennai (320 Kms up & down) with this bike. No back pain for the rider as well as the pillion. Stability is superb and overtaking is not a problem with this machine.
The main disadvantage with RTR is the Vibration which is un tolerable after 75KMph. I wonder the TVS guys had ever tested this bike with high speed. Having invested 67K and riding a 160cc bike ina highway below 70Kmph is stupid I think.
