Hey friends, with the increasing assembling/installation of computers, the demand of softwares which can protect your PC from spyware and malware or can delete unwanted, useless files floating in your harddisk is mounting.There are many softwares that I have bought & used for the above purpose but..... till date found 'System Mechanic 6' the best...(According to my experience with it..)
Introduction to the software---:
The software is very easy to operate and is great to look at.Due to it, my system has stopped crashing which it used to do, around 2 times/month...Also after performing the checkup's/cleanups recommemded by it, the overall speed/performance/space of my system has enormously increased.(Which non of the softwares did so far).After installing it, I felt that somehow it took the duty of maintaining my computer on it's own.
Features in detail:(They are just tempting/amazing...)
1. Main Interface Window:
As soon as you double-click the software icon on your desktop, it gets loaded & checks the status of your computers speed,fitness,safety and clutter.If found any problem,then immediately notifies you and asks you to perform the required action.In the main window the statistics can also be seen,that is-what was the last date you performed so and so check-up.
2.Main/Important tabs/buttons:
These buttons are placed on the left-hand side of the main window, namely- Optimize,Clean,Repair,Protect, Maintain & about.
The 'Optimize' button:
When you click this button a list of many useful tools can be seen. Like:
1. Increase Internet Speed:
This tool helps you increase your internet speed/protocol to some extent by modifying some options and editing the registry.Use this tool to properly adjust windows for the fastest and most efficient download rates.
2. Manage windows startup:
Through this tool you can add/delete the softwares which get loaded as soon as windows boots/starts.By reducing the no. of programmes that get loaded automatically at the begining of each windows session,the start up speed of the system increases.
3. Popup Blocker:
Popup ads are an annoying and frustrating part of browsing.f you turn this option on, then all the unwanted ads which start flying in front of your eyes when you open most of the sites, get blocked and your speed of surfing will automatically increase.
4. Speed Up Drive:
This tool helps in increasing the speed & performance of your local drives(C,D,E,F,H etc) by fragmenting them,by optimizing drive data for peak access and by eliminating hazadrous system fragmentation.
5. Manage Running Programs:
Use process manager to look under the hood of windows and view helpful information about the currently running programs/applications.
6. Memory Mechanic:
During system use, the RAM that hold the vital information such as data for currently running programes etc. resulting in poor performance.Use this tool to recover wasted RAM to a desired level.
The 'Clean' button:T
The following options are revealed when you click the button with the mouse:
1. Junk File removal tool:
With the help of it, you are able to remove all the unwanted cookies,IE Files,URL's,temporary files,most recently visited documents (All the crap.) from your harddisk which had been left by untidy softwares and system crashes.
2. Uninstall Software tool:
There are many times that a program is difficult to delete it manually.Use this tool to uninstall a software which is already installed on your harddisk with just a click of a button.After uninstallation, full report can be printed and viewed.
3. Duplicate file inspector:
Helps in removing all the duplicate files which are damaging the system's registry or creating eerrors in the background.
The 'Repair' button:
The following options are revealed when you click the button:
1. Repair and clean the registry: Over a period of time, the windows registry starts to holds the information which is no longer valid/useful.This tool helps in fixing those entries resulting in improved overall performance.
2. Spyware Removal/Fix Broken Shortcuts:
Through these to toools you can remove the spyware,malware,adware and many other bugs which are hampering your systems performance.You can also fix/delete the shortcuts whose targets no-longer exist.
The 'Protect' Button:
In this window, you can view the changes made by other softwares to your computer,permanently delete files which cannot be re-stored & fix security deficiencies otherwise which can leave your computer easily accessable to hackers/programmers.
Through the 'Maintain' & 'About' buttons:
You can update system mechanic, schedule tasks,get information on your system, re-locate a software(Change source drive),Undo changes made to your system, get info about the version/serial being used by the software and last but not the least edit your prefrences.
Conclusion:
I think system mechanic is the best desktop utility developed so far.It acts as a 'Computer Doctor' which does the postmorterm of your comp. and shows you the final report. hehe ........just kiddin.:)

My Recommendation: Buy only original System Mechanic 6, Do not crack it as it will help reduce piracy..:)
