Movie of the year. Review on Swades

Friday evening I went for Swades with 6 other friends...........after movie was over my friends were just cursing me as movie appeared to be documentary to them.....they even demanded I should pay for them as I was the one one who forced them to theatre...I was taken aback by their reaction because entire three hours of movie was great and enriching experience for me.....

= ABOUT THE MOVIE- the movie is about a NASA scientist who wants to bring back his dai ma to USA so he reaches india a place called charanpur..........he experianced hard truth about india....that proved to be an eye opener for him......FOR rest please see the movie............

= The characterization in the movie is superb.The story is noble and relevant. sharukh is mohan bhargav not king khan.....it is his best performance till date........the scene in which he drinks water in earthen pot is highlight of the move. the dance ek tara was choreographed so simply and beautifully that it was great relief for me as I was used to all sort of funny music choreography........thus movies greatness lies in its simplicity...hats off to ashutosh gowarikar for not succumbing to commercial pressures and bringing swades straight from the heart.........

= Now coming back to my first paragraph,only question is was this movie ahead of its times , or are we immature not to praise such great masterpiece or are we conditioned so much by Chopra Karan Johar school of film making that we just cant think beyond that........... I need an answer to all these questions ...I am really disturbed....
