Hey All,
I was planning to buy a bike..spent arnd 2 months to choose the rt one...It all started with Discover 125...Then I thot of buyin Shine...I was ready to compramise a bit on looks to get a good bike..at that time I had seen Zeus in pics only..that too its silver color (Pics and color not impressive at all)..still coz my dad insisted on test riding Zeus....I went to showroom...saw the black color...first impression abt looks was that its doesnt look as bad as projected...I test rode it..was impressed...g8 stability...decent pickup..very good low end torque...Then I went for test ride once more...I liked the looks more than before...and without a doubt I got it!!3000 kms hve passed and I dnt regret my decision at all.Here is review..
Looks: Well I love my bike(Obvio), I know many ppl think its not good looking...but I would say...go have a look in showroom....its looks good....Personally I find only black color cool...i dnt like others...It all depends on individuals choices...
Ride Quality:This is the area which impressed me..believe me all who have rode it are impressed with engine..ride quality..Seating posture is comfortable..Although is should have been more cushioned...I have reached only 80 kmph at max rt now..didnt give full throttle...it was free of vibration..I have seen other bike vibrating at 80..so it cool...obvio haven 5th cog helps a lot...its makes u feel that engine is not stressing for power at higher speeds (this advantage included in Gladi)..I feel that its a bit underweight sometimes...rarely..one more good thing is the tyres are good....u have good stabililty even in rains...this is very important...
Suspension:The suspesion are weakpoint...rear ones are built on same principle that Shine's are built..If u have more weight in pillion..its g8 and smooth...but single seat..its seems are bit stiff...they are also unadjustable.
Engine and Performance:The engine is g8!(Suzuki)..highly refined...very less vibrations on high speeds..Excellent mileage..I am getting 65 kmpl even with lots of stops..and only first service has been done..so I think it will improve..I feel the machine glides...The pickup is decent...actually I am not a pickup maniac..very good...not as much as disc..gladi..shine..but its not dead...more than enough for me.Primary kick (Common in most bikes) is very useful feature..
Braking:I have disc brake version..the brakes are highly effective..Rear brakes are also g8!!
Instrumentation: Tripmeter absent, Gear Shift indicator is very very useful..all other features are same as other bikes.
Other Features:
1) It is lowest polluting two wheeler in coutnry (For Enviroment lovers)
2) It has capacitor in wiring, which helps in functioning horns and headlight the same way if battery is removed.(I realy have no idea if other bike have it)
Services and Cusotmer Satisfaction:Well they are g8 at this..at the time of services t hey would listen to u and give a lot of time to u and ur bike...The showroom guys very helpful and always ready to help...I found it good...Obviosly they would do that coz they want to establish themselves in the market..but I dnt mind this reason coz ultimately I am benifiting from it.The guys are well trained and know the bike well.
Things Reqd.:Some better colors, Adjustable suspensions, Self start and alloys. I was told by their manager that wehnever alloys will be introduced..they will be the best like Karizma(Best Alloys).
Verdict: Very very decent bike..I am very happy with it...still some improvements reqd.Quality of every part is g8!!No compramise on quality.
Note:Guys this review and my choice was not aimed at sayin that other bike is not good..I thot ppl would get some help...This bike is entirely my personnal choice..It may not be same for all....This is my first review and comments are invited...
