Echoing the thoughts of all other reviewers, I feel happy to be a proud and satisfied user of the Suzuki Zeus 125cc bike since March 2008. The Suzuki ZEUS is a marvel of engineering wonder from Suzuki MotorCycles, and scores much ahead competition in the refined engine performance. (Hear it to believe it!)
The ease-of-use design of Zeus explains a lot of homework and ergonomics has gone from Suzuki. It really scores on all fronts - the quality of components used, electricals, engine performance and style factor. I still wonder why Suzuki doesn't advertise this bike so much. Maybe their marketing and promo costs are diverted to their R&D teams !
Now after more than a year, the bike delivers much more than before. I dont have the mileage and haven't calculated it (i assume its 60+ kmpl) since it is a matter of road and traffic conditions , individual driving skills and understanding level with the machine. One point here is that my fuel is always high-octane petrol(Speed/ Extra-mile/ Xtra Premium whatever its called). Keeps the engine health performance at best. Dont save that 2rs per liter .... go for it, gives more mileage too.
Riding comfort is the maximum in this bike. However its upright sitting position would help reducing back problems, it may not suit a low-heighted person. All controls on the handle-bar are rightly placed. The front panel is nicely laid out with Speedometer / Fuel guage/ Engine Tachometer / Neutral and 5 gear lights. Very clean, non-distracting still quite attractive . The looks and styling are also stunning, even the pulser-wallas and apache-wallas stare at my bike at the traffic-signals.
I made my choice after a research of over two months -mostly with brands like Honda , Yamaha and LML. (Didnt think to even check on Hero Honda, TVS and Bajaj bikes as per my notion of these being mass-produced, unrefined bikes built on cost-cutting basis ) After riding Yamaha, I felt that my earlier 100cc bike was giving more torque than Yamaha 125cc, only its shock-abs made me feel like sitting on a sofa. The Honda shine too didnt appeal me - also its cost was above 52K. I got the best offer from Zeus at 48, 500/- on road (Zeus XDU/ 125cc/ 5-gear/ Self-starter/Drum Brakes/ Spoke wheels) including OTT/ RTO Registration/1Yr Insurance.
After-sales services / Maintenance for the last one year has been promptly provided by Dealer service center (Simran Suzuki- Panvel). Though my speedo & mileage-counter has stopped since last month, that was the only prob in the past one year with the bike. With the commitment of Suzuki in Indian and international markets, its quite natural to expect a proper supply of after-sales and spares from their service outlets, contrary to what other auto-dealers may say. I am 101% recommending the Zeus to people searching for a good bike, which would be value for money and performance for long years to come. You too become a proud and a satisfied owner !
