Hi Friends,
I was just thinking of buying a low end trustworthy bike for my daily late night office commute of 60 KM per day. I had shortlisted HH Dawn/Deluxe & TVS Star city. But on the way home, on this occasion of Dassehra I happened to pass through Suzuki Showroom, just dropped in & immediately booked the HEAT.
Makes sense guys, when its 125 cc at lowest prised in its class & not to forget - from the makers of HAYABUSA!
I just finished 500 km on Heat. It looks rugged with rounded head light . Overall build quality is tough, doesn't heed to Municipal corporations nigligence (pot holes), feels firm on ground even when overtaken by deadly cargo trucks. handling is good, curves smoother, gear shifting is soft, on Heat I came to know what the low end tork is & how it helps in traffic. I can drive it in 5th gear in 15 km speed in a bumper-to-bumper exhaustive traffic of Mumbai . I cross 16 flyovers with ease on heat daily. I just could not measure the exact amount of fuel it consumes, but I guess it must be somewhere around 55-60. It is available in 3 colours, I liked black most, but since my Unicorn was also Black, for a change I bought RED.
If you are looking for a Bike to work as a Bike / to get your work done / performance minus looks, & yes if you are married person, just go for it!! But if Ravving Alloy wheels with flashy gadgets are what comes in between those groovy sexy glances on the college campuses, just don't go for it!.
