I purchased gixxer within a week after its launch date. now I have driven it for 4200kms. mileage is if you drive within 45-65kmph is 55+ .

More the speed the mileage drops but not drastically say 48-50kmpl. problem areas are the gears. little hard. if rpm is low then no problem.

But changing gears at higher rpm is a slight issue. rest everything about gixxer is good. lot of fuel tank space. headlights are another issue. the low beam is fine but high beam points towards the trees not the road. another maintenance factor is gixxers chain.

Need to be greased every 500kms. console is good. silencer is very unique and good looking. best for city . ok for highways .

log 2:  driven my bike for 5600kms now. gears have become softer and easier to change.

this bike has started giving me more mileage also. the high beam issue got solved easily by service people. now this bike is so much fun to ride in the  city. I wish you tried this before buying some pulsar. love this bike more than girls.

log 3. brake on the right side got cracked had to change the whole thing. costed around 560rs.

yes spares are not readily available to my surprise. had to wait for 15 days. its kind of strange that suzuki spares of indian standards not japanese. local manufacturers provide it so not of good quality. only I think the engine is japanese.

log 4. driven now for 6400 kms. service was due so got it serviced. costed around 400rs without synthetic oil. I considered using normal oil as I felt I already have beneilli and I use gixxer for household work chores only. changed oil filter, cleaned air filter . I did not got the chain cleaned or greased because only last month I got it done.

this bike is the best option if you are considering city commutes. great pickup. one more thing I like to share with you is that if you have gixxer try changing the gears before 4500rpm. pick up would be just great. dont reeve this bike till 6500rpm. this bike engine wont give good feedback.

tire pressure needed for front tyre is 30ps and 35 ps for rear tyre.
