Suzuki gixxer experience and disappointments. Review on Suzuki Gixxer

I bought the bike 4 months back, and my experience with it is little interesting. It gives me 1 50-50 satisfaction as well as disappointments.

My satisfactions -

1. Satisfactory mileage in cities as well as in highways

   
   




2. Good headlight and gives night ride comfort

   
   




3. Break system very balanced and gives ride comfort

   
   




4. Satisfactory service

   
   




5. Provides extra 3 years warranty at very low price

   
   

My disappointments

1. Gear shifting very hard, and is almost impossible without wearing a shoes(when contacted service the reply was very casual like this the common behavior observed in gixxer bikes)

   
   




2. The back seat is lightly small, so long rides with a pillion is little uncomfortable

   
   




3. The engine sound is little harsh and annoying, especially in 3rd(as common in gixxer bikes observed by service engineer)

   
   




4. Air cooled engine and over heats while riding in rain

   
   




5. Very low pickup when compared with yamaha Fz - 2.0 which is almost similar is specs

   
   

My conclusion - Those who can afford this bike could also consider Yamaha FZ  ver-2.0 with not much price difference(But need to sacrifice the comfort of kick start which is not available in Fz)
