My friend get an old Gs150R from local bike dealer for price of Rs 41000. The model is one and half year old and covers 21000 kms only. He is a fan of suzuki and also previously worked in suzuki car showroom. I am surprised for his decision and looked at him.
Why he choose old Gs150r nor new Gixxer? He(ayan bajpai) needs a performance 150cc bike as he opt previously for Pulsar or Apache 160. I have already Apache 160 and expected to take same or Pulsar 150. But he is a suzuki man and invite me to test drive for Gs150r. After taking a long tour of 225 kms in city and highway.
I am much impressed for bike performance and its 6 th gear addition for long touring purpose. The bike is not have much pickup as my Apache 160 but smooth, responsive, balanced and more refined engine delivers a smooth long drive with a mileage figures of 47 kmpl overall and maximum speed of 114 kmphr in highway. Here the 6 th cog creates a magic and upto 90 kmphr speed engines is completely free from vibes and other kind of bouncy sounds. The bike is well balanced and control is fair on Gs150R. The old design is not eye catching and overall Gs150r is a great bike for my friend and his decision is good to opt this bike.
