GSR takes only 11.5s to get from 30 kmph-70kmph in fourth gear, coupled with high rev nature this can bowl out any 150cc barring the 160cc RTR / R15. Its 0-60 is half a second faster than the Unicorn. You get quick pick up times and and growl on the RTR, but where is the comfort??? for long rides???

GSR has the versatile character which no other 150cc bike has. Thats why it gets full 5-star rating.

A 9500kms odd Hero Honda Hunk failed to keep up with a 120kms old Suzuki GS150R while going flat out on highway.Yet I still own a trouble free bike. On the other day on a city freeway, I pulled a 90 kmph in 3rd gear and shifted gear without clutch at red line while overtaking a speeding Hyundai i20.Yet my gearshift is better than a silky shifting Unicorn

When I hit the highway in a group, the cruising speeds generally averages around 100 kmph all the time. Yet, I am the biker who spends the least money for buying fuel as my bike still registers 52kmpl on such highway hits too !!!!

So I do own a trouble free bike and proudly.

There had been runs on which my fellow highway riders felt the need to ease off as their bikes felt stressed out being cruising near redline and felt engines overheat. But what they found hard to believe that my bike still felt as relaxed as it came out of the garage. It cools down without complain. Despite the fact that the Cat-con still keeps ticking(famous tick-tick sound ) even after the bike is 6500kms old.Well it feels great when the bike does not seems to age even after kilometers of high speed and hard acceleration, everyday I take out, it feels new.The tick-tick sound reminds me of the fact that the cat-son still expands and shrinks like that of a brand new bike and I smile to myself.

Advantages are

1.Out of this world smoothness for a normal 150cc air cooled engine.Maintaining constant near top speeds is no issue at all.My bike did a 9000rpm in 6th gear !!! That means it was speeding at around 119kmph

2.Truckloads of torque for its weight overtaking is simple as drinking water seriously.Thank you XTP

3.Superb CG or weight distribution, no nervousness or side movement during sudden hard acceleration and in very high speeds. The total power just accelerates the bike leaving out everything else.

4.High revving engine with peak at high rpms. Very good attitude for comfortable high speed riding.

5.awesome dynamics and stock tyres, corners are where even four wheeled cars were smoked like cow-carts Leave out Hunk.My engine became cold and I had some tea, waiting for the Hunk after one stretch of road which was really twisty and had narrow sections and U-shaped corners. The Bike is as stable as sports-bike in corners. My fellow biker told me, "you were looking so awesome at the corners, you were simply sliding off on foot pegs, simply wanted to photograph you, as I was far away but can see you.But the cars behind me were in no mood to let me stop.

I literally ruled the roads.Never felt like this on any other bike before, really !!!!!

This GSR is really a very high quality bike , totally mind blowing.

No sound comes from the engine at all if the run-in is done well.I often get anxious because of a reason contrary, his Bike's engine is almost without any noise, doesnt feel like it is on till 5000rpm, after that a natural sweet whirring sound settles till 7000rpms, after that as it nears 9000rpms a snarling sound. This bike is equipped with SJCS, so a whistle or a purry sound may come, but that's not from the engine. It feels no different from the old Karizmas, just takes some time for the rider to get settled in.

Mileage as far as this bike goes is 55kmpl-on road.If you use mode advantage, you end up extracting 58kmpl. Rash driving or Power mode delivers mileage in vicinity of 47-50kmpl.

As per performance, it is one of the fast 150ccs, acceleration in PWR mode similar to old ZMAs, has got a sixth gear revving till 8500 or 9000 rpm in this gear imparts a top speed of around 122kmph.Power delivery is linear and the bike is a butter to ride in any rpms, its totally smooth and without vibrations even close to 9000rpms.

Handling is at par with the Unicorn, with 5 step dual Gas charged shocker system. This bike really has one of the best CG mass bias in the industry, which attributes in the way it handles.Straight line stability is the thing that gets noticed more.Brakes are the best, front disc set up does its job neatly without bringing the heart to your mouth.Rear drum brakes are normal.

Suzuki engines are known all over for its robust and tough nature, so no doubt about the long term benefits of the engine and the clutch plate. The Indian made Bajaj, TVS bikes look like old men after two years due to using inferior quality materials. The suzuki will handle as good new  even after a decade
