This is my first bike and like everyone bought it after a long observations and analysis. I am a regular highway rider covering nearly 55 km per day. so I need a good bike to sit on causing no back pain and easy handling. Besides that I value for mileage. Thus I go for this bike and belive me it never dissapointed me. :-) I am not a great writer and this is my first review, though I have completed nearly 4500 kms and had done 2 services.will list down what I felt in few words... hope it will help someone.


First with the seating position :


Excellent riding posture. no backpain. Pillion rider will also feel the comfort. note that back seat is a little bit high.The seats are wide enough so that it will not give u any bum pain. always smile dude :-)


About the handlebar and wrist pain:


I saw it as a con coz sometimes I felt if it have been a clip-on handle bar. In this long run of 55 kms a day d only problem I felt is on my wrist.I will better call it as an uncomfortable feeling rather than pain. my back bone is feeling good but my wrist are not enjoying that much.may be it depends on individuals their height n all coz whenever I ask others who own this bike, they r not feeling this problem.


Digital Console:


Excellent digital console. Cheers for suzuki. It have everything needed no unwanted elements. Indicates the gear on which u r riding, odo meter and two trip meters. There is a analog rpm indicator with a silver border and it looks great. Shows the time too.


The coolest part of GS is its dual modes. The Economy mode and Power mode. In Economy mode You are supposed to run at 4500rpm with a top speed of 62 in 6th gear. For each gears there is a certain speed limit and if u cross it, the gear shifting indicator will glows which tells u to change the gear.If proper shifting is followed u will get the mileage offerd by the company ie 62 kmpl. Belive me I got it and before my first service I got 64 as I ride the bike within the 50 kmph mark.


In power mode u can use the full power of ur bike and is awsome above 4000rpm. Its silky smooth in both the modes. Nice gear shift.U can use both the toe and heel. At first I experienced some stifness whenever I shift down the gears but now it has gone. I put on the power mode after 2000 km. In power mode I am getting a mileage above 54 and my highest is 56.7. Nywy I am damn sure that all the GS will give u a mileage above 50 no matter how fast u ride it.


Stability:


GS is a very much stable bike as u all know its a lot heavier. Even a huge truck overtakes u , u will not feel the air pushing you and ur bike. This bike is that much stable. Will give u the feel of riding a big bike. Even at high speeds the breaking is very much efficient and will not give u a feeling that u will fall. Nice aerodynamic design.Front disc and back drum breaks are very much effective.


Riding :


These are what I felt while riding my bike. At low speeds GS is just like a splendor or caliber. U can't go for a quick start like pulsars do. This bike is not meant for that. Those who want that stuff will be very much disappointed. This bike will gain its real strength only above 4000 rpm and its really a grt feeling. The bike will fly in these ranges.But at low rpms u will have to be patient. Handling seems tough for a few days but after that its soo easy.


This Engine has got a good low sound at low rpms but as u cross 40 it will grew. At high rpms the sound of engine will also go high. But its not irritating. Headlights are not so powerful but helps u see everything on roads. Suspensions are good and it has got a 5 level adjustment on the rear side.


Overview:


I like this bike very much as it suits my riding habits. I dnt want a sudden pick up. I am also not so intrested in the looks. But I want mileage, joy in riding, good riding posture, reliable engine and value for money. All these are satisfied by my GS. I am a proud owner of this bike. I don't know whether u people will like this review as most of u have heard all these. But belive me all that I have written is true and is my personal experience. I Love this bike.
