Hello people.First of all, I would like to thank all the MS users for helping me choose this bike. After going through each of your reviews, I made my up mind to down-grade from a Thunderbird to GS150R.

Trust me, I have never repented for this!

I was owning a Thunderbird for more than 5 years only to end up spending thousands on that bike for silly repairs and poor showroom service.I had to rely on individual mechanics who only steal various parts and replace with poor ones to make me visit them again.None of the service centers in Chennai are good at it .Surprisingly, this bike didn't have a good resale value compared to the old Bullet engines. However with great difficulty, sold this bike for a decent price after maintaining this vehicle with gr8 efforts. The moment I sold it, I felt I have saved a lot of money.Believe me, when I see a bullet on road, I get a sigh of relief within myself considering it is not a burden in my pocket anymore.

Frustrations aside, I do not want to technically describe the GS150R again as most of you do in your reviews. My experience has been better so far.I have clocked 1880 Kms till date in the last 2 months.

The bike is very stable, looks like monster compared to other bikes within the same cc range.6th gear gives very pleasing ride and temptation to accelerate further.Have reached top speed of only 70 kms till now.Didn't get a chance to try in the highway yet.Mileage is consistently 50+.It is very difficult to calculate accurately as the digital console indicates the approx.availability of fuel.I always drive in Economy mode for better mileage and switch off the bike in traffic halts for saving fuel. Also I ensure to fill only Extra premium petrol(or equivalent) always and not normal unleaded fuel. This should help boost your bike's mileage.

Please note, the bike gets into reserve when there is only 3-3.5 lts of fuel available.I was shocked initially when the bike went to reserve only for few kms and was relieved when the service centre told me this information. This is highlighted in the service manual as well.Ensure to adjust the headlight focus properly as the high beam is more powerful than low beam and provides excellent coverage.Back brakes are excellent after completing 700 kms, as effective as disk breaks in fact.I had an extra fitting of side box and tank cover on my bike, which is very useful.Horns are very powerful and you need not go for any extra noisy horns thereafter.

Only concerns I faced till date, replacement of clutch switch for electric start and slightly noisy disc brake. However the noise is now negotiable and I do not hear it often.Hence not an issue anymore.

My wife had initially missed the bullet very badly as the ride was very comfortable due to flat back seat and the beat. Now she doesn't feel bad for my decision as she started enjoying this bike ride every time.Overall, this bike is worth the money, comfort, satisfaction and for your lovely journeys ahead

I have come across the Xenos security system for 2 wheelers which was recently launched. This has various features including remote start/stop, vibration alert which senses minute movements of vehicle, 2 remote key chains, bike finder using chirp noises, immobiliser etc.One disadvantage is that the service guys are unable to activate the immobiliser as they were unable to locate the carburretor. However not to worry about this as if you lose the remote, you cant key start the vehicle with immobiliser function on.Priced at INR 990, you can fit it on this prestigious bike to add to feel more secured. So look out for the xenos kit and fit it on your bike.It just takes 15 mins to install and you would love to c ur bike start with touch of remote.you can visit xenos.co.in for more information
