I have been using internet since 1999 but have never posted any review or written anything on any blog. But I cant help myself to pen down some praises for this bike.
I visited this site in Feb 2010 to buy a 150 cc bike. I am tall and well built guy so was looking for something muscular. Before my search started I knew that I'm not going for any of the Pulsars. This is the most common, expensive and high maintenance costing bike.
I had my decision fixed on Hero Honda Hunk. The brand and the size. I even booked it. I booked the Red color, but the dealer in Ahmedabad, Maninagar area said that it will take around 1 month for Red color. I waited. I called them after one month to know the status but they didn't have any reply.They said they don't know when it will be available. In short the customer service experience was horrendous. If I'm facing such replies before buying the bike, what would be it like after buying it??? So I dropped the idea to buy Hunk.
Just when I left their showroom I saw a skinny guy (short height) riding the Suzuki 150r. I didn't know which bike is this. I came home and came to this site and found that the bike is Suzuki GS150R. I visited their showroom and they were very kind. I also received additional discount from them. I bought it for 62500 on road and I had it on 1st March 2010. It was Dhuleti day.
I followed all the instructions that were given in the manual and I consider myself very lucky to have got this bike. Its comfort is amazing. I daily have to drive 15kms to office and back home but I never get tired or back or neck aches. I once rode my bro's pulsar...and it was so so tiring. The initial year the bike gave a mileage of around 50-52. Now it has been clocking a regular 55-58 in city.
The after sale service of this bike is also really very good. Their service station in maninagar area is the best I would say. I have never felt cheated by them and have always received my bike in A+ condition from them. I give my bike for service every 3 months and it has treated me well too.
In short this bike is poorly marketed bike which is an absolute Gem who are not in to racing culture.
A must buy bike without any doubts.
