Last week, I'd a chance to Test Drive this Vehicle in Bangalore. First thing to Mouthshut.com Team - Now Suzuki is no more associated with TVS. It has severed the joint venture about 5 years back. So, please use separate head for Suzuki Bikes. The Bike is a combination of the current lot of Pulsar's and CBZ's. The Plus point is it has got 6 gears - No need to worry about the engine going into labour because of wrong gear, since you've a LED Gear indicator. The Engine sounds typical to Honda Unicorn and in many aspects it is similar to Unicorn. The price is also OK. The Fit and Finish is excellant. The only negative point I found is its weight which is 149 kgs. - 3kgs heavier than Unicorn. Milaege and reliability can be written only after the Bike comes on to the road. Go ahead and take a test drive. The Dealer at Vasanth Nagar in Bangalore is very receptive to listen to any comments of the Bike as well.

The Bike looks and feels Big and in fact is Big. I'd test driven this Vehicle for only less than One Kilometer and that too in Peak Bangalore Traffic.

Later on I once again went to take another proper Test Drive, but was told that I was one of very few persons who had taken the Vehicle for TD. And the Vehicle is only for display.

The Gear Lever can be be operated through heal and toe, but the technology used is returnable as is evident in only Toe operated gear levers using Rubber dampeners. So it is not a disappointment for the persons who like to operate only through Toe. You can have the best of both operating system.

The dry weight of the Bike and Unicorn may be same. But in kerb weight Suzuki is 3 kgs heavier. Since this bike has a larger capacity fuel tank(15.5 litres), the difference will be neutralised.

The overall package seems to be to please all and excite none.

Bookings are open but the deliveries will start from End of January or beginning of February'09.
