Myself Chaitali and today I am going share my personal experience regarding the " SUUNTO M1 HEAR RATE MONITOR ", which I bot around one week ago from one of the leading online e-commerce shopping companies.
First things first, This products box pack comes with the monitor and one USB charging port, No electronic charger, No extra arm strap or other equipments are given in the box pack. This brand only have one heart rate monitor or you can call it a fitness band. This band has only one color option that is black. So you don't have much options.
The second most important things is the quality of the product, The material used is very bad in quality, The plastic quality is very poor and thin. If you put your fingers forcefully the material bends and makes noise like it will break. so you need to be careful while using this band as it can get damage any time. So its not good while doing exercise. The rubber band is very tight and after using this band it leaves a rubber mark on your wrist. The material used is not at all skin friendly. The design of the band is more like an old watch. No graphics or design is provided with. So its less stylish and boring looking band with only one color that is black.
The Display size is very small 2cm in radios. It does not have a back light so you cant see at night. No alarm, No stop watch, No phone book, No message, No reminder, No internet access is provided with, It only can show your heart rate, steps done and can calculate the calories you have burned during the day, But it cant count how long you are sleeping. Because its internal memory is very low. you need to reset it after every five hours. SO while on sleep it stops working. No chance for extending the internal memory is their.
It does not have a bluetooth connectivity. So you cant transfer the data to the phone. It does not comes with a driver CD so you need to download the driver from the website of the company. and after connecting the band with the USB you can take the data from band to the computer. It is very long and slow process. As the processor of the band is very old and slow, the clock speed is 1.6 ghz. So the tracking is very slow.
The battery life is worst, It took eight hours to get it fully charged. and once this was fully charged I started using the band, but it went for three hours only. and u had to keep it on charging again. So the battery is very bad and the service is worst. the price is very high but the product is very cheap in quality. It feels very heavy on your hand. weights almost 350 grms, which is not very comfortable while doing exercise. So the value for money is zero and no comfort. No other available features are there.
Now the worst part is that, After purchasing this band I was using this perfectly, but somehow during exercize I found it stopped working. and I tried to contact the customer service. But the lines were busy. I kept trying for five days and on sixth day I finally got one of their customer support executive. I told them the problem I am facing and they said they don't have a service center in kolkata so I need to send the band to bengaluru for service works. I sent the watch to them it took me 45o rupees extra. And then after inspection they said it will take 2200 rupees, as the price of the band is 8, 580 rupees which itself is very high, I was asked to pay another 2200 rupees. I asked for the warranty and they said they have only one months warranty and this product is damaged by the liquid so it is out of warranty coverage.
So I paid them via bank transfer, And they said it will take another two weeks but they did not called me. and after three weeks I tried to contact them but the lines were busy so I kept trying. and after few days I got them, then said it will take more ten days as the parts is no available. They don't even informed me. So in this way they took almost two months for the repair of the band. and asked extra money for the postal and handling charges. I paid them and finally got the band back.
So the customer service is very bad, The attitude towards the customer is worst. they don't provide basic services to customers. The product quality is very bad. Don't have features. Not water resistance, poor battery life. So I will suggest you not to buy this product, Their are other good quality product buy them. I will give it one out of ten for its performance and looks.
