His first film was nerkku nerwith vijay.the acting in the movie is so good.i realy like the vaaranam aayiramit is a wonderful move from suriya.it shows true relationship between father and son.he get tamilnadu state award for this movie in2002.And also he get dinakaran best new face award.he won the first film fare award in the movie pitha magan.
