I have had horrible customer service from the Bommanahalli service centre of Suraksha. I had given my car - Maruti 800 for service after reading several reviews online that they are the best service centre in bangalore for maruti. They racked up a bill close to Rs.10000 saying that there are issues with the car and so and so parts need to be changed. I agreed to what they said and allowed them to keep it for 2 days as requested by the service people, Prakash and Dilip.


2 weeks later, I had a problem today where the car was not starting, so I called their 24 hr helpline number and informed them, the first response was that the battery must be low and I need to PUSH AND START! Can you believe this? 2 weeks and Rs.10000 later, I have a problem which I have never experienced in my ownership of this car, I have driven all the way to OOTY and Velankanni and never had a problem prior to giving it for service, I flatly refused to push and start and the service guy reluctantly came out when I told them that I had a lady with me and its almost 10:00PM. He came over and jump started the car, I asked him what the problem was, he claimed that the battery was bad, I asked him how is that possible, especially when he did not mention anything when the car was given for service, in fact I remember specifically asking him if all the other parts were in order and he said that all other parts were fine!


I told him that this was not acceptable and we wanted it fixed right now, we went to the service centre and there was no one there, we called the 24 hour helpline number again, but our friend did not take the call, we called almost 10 times and I have the phone records to prove it, went ahead and found another number for the service guy Dileep, called again, but naturally he didnt take the call, as he was the same guy manning the 24 hr helpline! Finally he got fedup with my incessant calls and picked the call on his personal cell and said that he cannot talk now and to come on Monday, I was talking to him and asking him what was I to do if the car failed again, he had the nerve to hang up on me! I called him again and he did not take the call again. I went home and made sure that the car was not switched off during the entire journey. I called hims manager and told him I could go to the consumer forum but he started saying that I shouldnt tell him all that and take him for a ride! This was too much, since there was nothing coming out of this conversation, I felt no need to talk to him anymore, although he did offer to send a tech to checkup the car! Do I have a case here for the consumer forum? Especially since they did not take my call to their 24 hour helpline number? Wouldnt that amount to deficiency in service? your thoughts?
