As everyone must have read about Sunderbans... About the Jungle and how big it is.. we all forget the most important point about our travel, which is to make it as comfortable and organised as possible. On one of my earlier visits to Sunderbans I stayed at The Sajnekhali Tourist Lodge, which claims having 24 hours electricity and water supply with clean rooms. I was rather devastated when I saw that water came only for one hour a day and the room was quite dirty with no eletricity as it had claimed. And I had to look for my own transportation to get there.
As I loved the mysteriousness of the jungle I was hesitated to visit it again. But on my research through travel agents I found a few private operators had also come up in the area. I visited one of them called the Sunderban Tiger Camp.
Sunderban Tiger Camp organises tours from Calcutta to Sunderbans and Back which is all inclusive of transportation... accomodation.. all meals and sight seeing.
This resort is no less than a luxury resort in the jungle. It offers all amenities one can ask for in the jungle. And whats even more is it organises a trip from calcutta to sunderbans and back at a very minimal cost.
Whats even more is that Can you imagine having a choice of A/c, non A/c Rooms and Tents and Huts in the Jungle.
So for all the jungle lovers I will advice you to stay here in this property if you want to have an enjoyable trip
