I recently got Sun Direct DTH installed at home and was very happy to get rid of the old local cable services and go digital. A technician came home and installed a dish in the terrace and got the wiring done. Everything looked fine for a week and then the channel quality reduced and a few channels were grayed out partially and some channels had no audio. I then called the customer care and told them about what is happening and they made me do a lot of useless stuff like switching of the setup box, checking the connections, pressing and holding the power button, etc, etc,. nothing seemed to work, so they finally agreed on sending a technician to fix it. The technician came after 2 days and told that the dish is not correctly placed and it is not receiving the signal properly. so he then removed it and got it fixed in a different angle, but struggled a lot to make a hole on the wall because he had forgotten his drilling machine and after 2 hours, the problem was solved, all the channels came back on and I was relieved. Yesterday the dish fell from the terrace, as it was not properly fixed and it almost killed my dog. I got pissed and called the customer care today and explained this to them, but the lady who picked the call started laughing and told me that it is not their problem. She also told me that I will have to request for a technician to fix it and I will have to pay 1000 rupees for it. wow!
