Grisham Summons. Review on Summons, The - John Grisham

As a Grisham fan I can indeed say that there are not many of his books which I have left out and I was also gripped into his law side stories like any other Grisham fan way back from 'The Firm' , 'The Pelican Brief' and 'A time to kill'..and my favourite is 'The Partner''....With the same expectations I landed myself one afternoon with 'The summons'....and to say frankly I should say that I was a bit let down on finishing it...

The story line goes like this...Ray Atlee a professor at law school is summoned by his ailing old father Judge Atlee, who lives life like a typical Judge...Ray goes to the small town with much reluctance as his family life isnt something to write home about..There he finds loads of hidden boxes of dollars and his dead father...he tries to hide the money from his drug addicted younger brother Forrest, and tries to find out where all the dough came from...And he finds himself on a trail of secrets and in the path of someone else's trail too...somebody other than himself knows about the money and wants it too..and maybe they would even kill for that kind of money....who would be that????

When we near the final pages we can more or less point our finger on that person , but the way in which Grisham has handled the ending is something to be read....

This one is certainly not a potboiler but should be read once just to keep up with Grisham tradition...Can be recommended to die hard fans who finds nothing to do on a rainy day and make it to a library nearby...
