I usually have no hopes with salman khan movie but this movie generated some buzz on social media and certainly caught my attention. It was also hypes to be based on true story.
But all the hopes were belied once you watch the movie. Certainly no Indian has ever won a wrestling olympic gold medal so no way it can be based on real life story.
Plot:Coming to plot it's pretty average plot where no twist and turns are to be expected.At many places script lacks logic. For ex. When anushka was pregnant Salman was already an established wrestler so no monetary issue but still they chose to stay in the village at the time of delivery despite knowing that she had complexities in her pregnancy. She was treated at primary healthcare centre probably by a nurse. Yet she blames Salman for death of her child. What logic goes in it?
Coming to 2nd half of the movie which is the better part. Wrestling fights are too good especially the 1st fight. Ending is also satisfactory.
Cast: Salman khan appeared natural as a wrestler. He has worked on his role quite well for the movie.
Anushka sharma is the charm of the movie. She has given brilliant performance. She is too good during emotional scenes.
Randeep hooda is able to register his presence despite the clout of salman khan.
Amit sadh despite being new did justice to his job.
Music: this is the essence of the movie. Music at the entry of salman just heat up the screen.
Songs like Jag ghumeya, Bulleya are treat to hear. Presence of song "babe ko base pasand hai" cover the wide variety to the mix.
Verdict: Overall a good one time watch but if you are expecting something exceptional then you will be disappointed.
