Salman has given the best Eidi to his fans with Sultan.
This film has a bunch of good songs, great actors ( even the supporting ones) , decent story, direction and of course BHAI!
what's good:
The story ( surprisingly) is one of the best things in the film. The ups and downs in sultans life form a good watchable drama.
On the acting front I would say that the supporting cast of the film overshadows it's lead cast.
Salman's friend( I believe his name was govind) , Randeep, Amit sadh, his coach even the prestige cooker guy etc etc added the necesaary support to the film. All of them were a treat to watch.
Salman was good ( exceptional in a few scenes) but on a whole his act appeared repetitive.
Anushka was kickass in a some scenes but her accent spoiled the party in a few of her earlier scenes.
Music is good with Jag Ghoomeya being a standout song.
Background score is PERFECT!
What's bad:
Logic!
Sultan's journey to olympics is insanely stupid such as how he suddenly starts winning all the fights without not even being a wrestler in the beginning and suddenly becoming one in a few months etc.
The MMA style fighting scenes.
Man they are a pain to watch( especially if you have watched Brothers) .
Length of the film is too long( 2 hrs 50 mins) .
The dialogues also were not quite impactful.
Best scene:
The scene just before the interval between Anushka Sharma and Salman Khan.
Best song:
Jag Ghoomeya.
Verdict:
The film never really bores you ( except for the MMA fighting scenes) and is definately a better salman khan film to watch.
And if you are a hardcore salman fan then forget this review and go watch it!
