Though nowadays we have increased eye on health and say all fast foods are bad, I prefer going to Subway outlet for quality food. Yes, the chicken and fish they use are processed, but if you have it once in a while it's not dangerous. Also, you can get healthy dose of veggies, wheat and grain in one sub munch.
The Subway outlet in AJC Bose Road and South City Mall are both well decorated, I have been to both of them. The AJC Bose Road one has comfortable seating and the staff is also very helpful.
If you are new to Subway, let me tell you that their main delicacy is Subway Sandwiches or Subs. You can have a 6 inch sub or 12 inch(footlong) sub depending on your apetite. Chicken varieties are more popular in Kolkata. You can go for Tandoori Chicken, Chicken Teriyaki or Chicken 65 subs. I prefer to have my sub grilled and toasted.
You can also choose from a wide variety of Sandwich breads, such as Italian, Multi Grain or Whole Wheat.
Apart from the main ingredient Chicken, you can choose a wide array of veggies to go into your sub. You can choose from Tomato, Capcicum, Onion, Olives, Lettuce leaves.
You can also go for dressing like Ketchup, Mayonnaise, Honey Mustard and Sweet Onion. You can also choose Cheese varieties like Permesan cheese.
Apart from chicken, vegetarian varieties are also popular. You can also go for the Egg sub, more popular in breakfast, and an excellant Tuna fish sub.
Not just sandwich, you can also opt for a sub salad. All the veggies, all the chicken, all the dressing, minus the bread. The sub salad is healthy and tasty too. You can mix up all varieties of Chicken and have a Chicken Mixed platter salad over here.
Subway also offers Cold Drinks and Iced tea to wash down your food. You can also go for crisp fries and Cookies if you want.
