I really want to like Suave products especially the shampoos and conditioners they are so inexpensive and smell so good. Suave retails around .99 cents a bottle.
My son loves suave strawberry shampoo. I love the scent. Suave strawberry shampoo is a reddish translucent gel type shampoo. All the shampoos in the suave naturals line are a different scented, colored, translucent gel shampoo.
Suave shampoos lather very well and rinse clean. They leave hair clean and soft.
I do not use suave shampoos natural shampoos because most of them contain ammonium xylenesulfonate or sodium lauryl sulfate. Both are to drying to the hair.
Recently I have notice that some of the suave naturals line- namely the strawberry and lavender no longer have ammonium xylenesulfonate listed in the ingredients.
I e-mailed suave to see if hopefully they have discontinued using this and all they said was that ''occasionally we do update our formulas''. Well, I was looking for a yes or no, because the rest of the formulation was exactly the same as it used to be except for the exemption of the ammonium xylenesufonate.
I will keep checking the ingredient list and prehaps I will purchase suave again. My son has a crew cut so it really doesn't matter what he uses and I could use the suave shampoos as a weekly clarifier- the strawberry is good for that. I cannot use suave shampoos on a daily basis as long as they contain the harsh cleansers- long term they leave my hair flat and lifeless and make my split ends worse.
