I have been a regular customer of Style Spa since the days of Gautier. Generally their products are good. But the after sales service is hopelessly bad.
During the past two years I bought lot of furniture from Style Spa, Erandwane, Pune branch. In 2013 I bought one four door wardrobe, one queen size bed, two TV units, a shoe rack and many more. In 2014 I bought one more four door wardrobe and one single bed.
On both the occasions I found their after sales service to be extremely bad. After having delivered the cartons(Furniture comes in CKD condition) I had to literally slog to get those assembled. Every time I call up they would say ‘Sab mera aadmi rasteme hai’(My person is on the way), Mera aadmi do ghanteme aapke yanha aayega’(My man will be there in two hours), Aap chinta mat keejiye Sab, aaj aapka kaam kisibhi halat me ho jayega’(Don’t worry. Today your job will be done). These are the typical answers. But no one turns up. You have to wait for your turn. Mera nambar kab aayega?
They are short of skilled assemblers. Agreed; today everyone is facing this problem. But then this is not the right way to deal with the customers. You should be realistic and practical. Unfortunate part is that the concerned officials give false promises.
Second thing is there is no supervision or the audit of the job done by the assemblers. No one visits the site nor do you get a call from any one. You have to supervise the job yourself or accept whatever the assembler does. All the time the assemblers are in a hurry. Not all the assemblers are good. Though they use modern day tools habitually they do a crude job. You are lucky if you get a good one. This is not expected from a brand like Style Spa.
Currently, I am awaiting for the last six to eight months for someone to come and repair my TV unit and a shoe rack. Both are in a bad shape. Bottom ply of the TV unit is completely bent.(See the attached photographs.) In the first place the company official refused to accept the fact. Now, having accepted the defect he is dilly-dallying the matter. So I wrote to the customer care of Style Spa. They simply did not respond. Hence I spoke to them on phone. They spoke goody-goody. But the end result was a big Zero. I am left high & dry.
So be careful & think twice before taking any decision.
