Stonehead bikes review. Review on Stoneheadbikes

This time it was very difficult to choose any of the Delhi Bike rental vendor as in past I had a worst & horrible experience. But one of my friend has suggested to try Stoneheadbikes.com.  I called them up to inquire the bike availability and prices. They requested me to drop an email to walk me through with all the details including terms & conditions.

After receiving the quotation and reading their terms/conditions, I have decided to go for Thunderbird 350 CC Twinspark with self start & disk brakes. They charged me 1000 INR/day plus 12.36% service tax where the security deposit was 10000 INR in cash.

Documents submitted;

Xerox of DL, permanent address proof along with 1 recent photo and 1 Post dated cheque.

I also had to make the advance payment of 3000 INR in cash via NEFT only to reserve my bike. Everything was done and clear. One thing I liked very much was they sent me the actual pics of the bike along with the specifications & details such as KM's done, how old the battery is, etc.

Though everything was very much clear and mutually agreed but somehow I was having little doubt or you can say anxiety due to the bad experience I had in past. So I told them, I will be taking test ride first & undertaking necessary inspection before making rest of the payments. And they replied,

"even after taking one test ride for 2-3 KM's; you'll not be able to judge the bike. You need to trust us by all means. You just need to follow our guidelines strictly to ensure a good and safe ride"

I arrived on 02/07/13 at 07:00 AM in Delhi. I called them up to check if they can provide me the bike little early otherwise I had to wait for 3 hours to let their workshop open. Thankfully they have opened the workshop at 08:30 AM especially for me. Woww......I was amazed! Bike was ready and they asked me to take a test ride in case of any changes required. I was very happy to see the bike's condition but still asked for few changes as per my comfort. And now the papers, they have given me original RC, PUC & third party insurance along with invoice.

Mr. Thakur (Founder) has given me lot of guidelines to ensure a safe ride. And even mechanic has given me 15 mins of mechanical training. They also provide you an 24*7 number where you can speak to mechanic in case of any problem.

So finally I started my trip in afternoon on 2nd and returned the bike on 15th evening. And I am very happy to say that my journey was damn good without any major breakdown. Yes they were few problems like flat tyre or spark plug carbon but thats something is not in anyone's hand.
