I went to Sterling Days Inn in Goa in February 2006. It is located on Vagator beach which is almost 50 kms from the airport. It cost me Rs. 640/- to reach the resort. The resort is spreadout in a large area with nice, peaceful cosy cottages. I was staying there because my employer has a pact with Sterling by which their resorts act as guesthouses for us. So my accomodation cost was Rs. 150/day. However the normal rates vary between Rs. 2500-3500. This looks on the higher side considering that its quiet faroff from the main Goa beach located at Calangute, Old Goa churches and Panjim. Also the cottage furnishing needs some sprucing up. I didnt like the layout of the cottage in which I was staying. The restaurant is very average. The resort is located on Vagator beach which is very beautiful and normally empty. The resort guys normally arrange lots of adventure/sight seeing activities. I enjoyed their 1 hour speed boat ride to spot Dolphins and Barbeque during night on the beach. You can hire scooters from the resort reception. I hired a Honda Activa which cost me Rs. 200/day. There are couple of good food joints around Sterling Days Inn. It makes more sense to go out and eat than eating at the resort. And Yes! do not miss the wonderful trek to the nearby Chapora Fort that offers an awesome view.

To summarise the excellent location of the resort and the beach that is not at all crowded were the only two features that I was satisfied with. Otherwise the experience was disappointing due to the service and front desk, which I felt was not up to the mark and could certainly do with some improvements. And while the stay was comfortable, the rooms were not as good as expected and need to be renovated. The food was average, though I would advise trying out the restaurants outside the resort near Vagator Beach which provide excellent food.
