S.B.I is the only banl which have maximum customers in India, most of the people prefer s.b.i instead of private banks.as there are too many customers there process has been slow. Private banks do take charges of different transaction but there service is fast and up to the mark.
I have a s.b.i a/c from around 8 months, in s.b.i.few days back I was depositing money in a/c regularly or say alternate days after some transactions of deposit my 57 rs were deducted on every transaction, they told me the reason that you can only deposit money 5 to 6 times in a month if you will deposite money after 6 transactions 57 rs will be deducted as a credit charge . They told me to open a current a/c if you want to deposite money frequently.it was very strange because I have not heard anything like this from any other bank.i have a/c in IOB BANK and I deposit money daily in saving a/c and no money is being deducted.
The reason behind is that people trust s.b.i very much which are making there own rules and fees for different transactions. Ifd any body is opening a saving a/c he is opening for his saving and then s.b.i is charging money on deposite I have never seen this type of charges in any other bank.its totally weird
