Thinking SBI is the best, I applied for the SBI NRI account. For almost two years I used SBI express Remit. It will take at least a week for your funds to become available. From Mid Last Year, SBI express remit requires money to be transferred to their corporate bank through wire transfer paying to my bank where my funds were present. And then SBI would transfer that money to my destination bank.
It is almost more than a year and there is not progress is resolving the SBI express remit ACH transfer for those customers in MA area. Thankfully my friend told me about XOOM. exchange rate is locked and funds are available the most fastest way. Go for XOOM. or else open an NRI account with HDFC.
Better than other private banks in my experience.
