My experience with this bank is very boring. I have two saving accounts in two different city branches. When I sometime compare in between these two branches on the ground of customer services, I found it same. There is no difference in the working habit of SBI employees all over India. They all consumer a lot of customer's time.


It's the biggest nationalised bank of our country, having maximum number of ATM's and branches. The bank also have large number of technical and managerial staffs. The bank too has the maximum number of account holders in the country. But as far as Customer services are concerned, this bank fails dramatically.


I remember those day when I have to open an account there and I waited a long time in the queue. On asking the counter staff not replied at all. On asking again they said me to wait further. You will have to spend your whole day for every single bank work. SBI employees work lazy and they have nothing to take on quick customer's service delivery. They have nothing to do with your precious time. They work in their own lazy style.


I have applied for new ATM Card in my branch and after completing a lot of paper work there, it was said to me to wait for another 15-20 days for new ATM Card. I don't find this bank competent. Every day they make new rules. One staff saying a thing, another staff says just opposite another thing. Whenever I visit my branch, I see huge crowd and this crowd is not the new one, in fact these are the old crowd which gathered there every day because of their pending work at the branch. Now the bank employees are habituated with this crowd, they don't feel any problem with them as they don't care and still work in their lazy way. On asking anything they simply reply in one single line in a low pitch so that you can't listen in such a noise.


Again a number of SBI ATM's don't have money. They suffer from money deficiency.


No doubt, bank provide a lot of service to their customers but these services are not quick and fast. These are the services which bank provide on their own terms, not of your's requirement. When ever I visit my branch for any my work, I have to do an argument with their staffs on why my work in being delayed. It is the situation when online banking has already reduced their work load.


Overall, in summary I can say this bank provides huge services in far flung areas but not in time, not in accordance with your time table. They will not perform as you want but you will have to adjust, wait and watch simply.
