Few days back I applied for home loan. I got excellent services from SBI ludhiana Civil lines ludhiana and my loan(9.5% with benefits of teacher plus, margin money and salary account) was disbursed in minimum possible time. I enjoyed all the benefits mentioned on SBI site. Every one should carefully go through website of SBI and they live upto each word they tell you there.
There is no pre payment penalty if you can prepay through your own sources. Getting a saving account in SBI and then applying for the loan would be a better idea as it entitles you to benefits in interest rates.Credit officer reached my home with in two days of applying home loan.
He very carefully verified my facts and was a professional throughout. I being there first online house loan applicant remained special throughout processing.
