Is is one of the leading public bank of india . It also act as a agent of RBI , which help rbi to do certain task in the city where rbi is not present. Sbi is largest bank in india in Terms of customer and technology. Sbi has given the responsibility to handle the salary account of Defence and other public sector employee. Only Sbi and Icici is declared as a systematically important bank( SIB) in india.
