I am writing my experiance with SBI J.C. Road Branch in Bangalore. In November I fianlized the flat(under construction) and decided to go for Housing Loan. One of my relative had already taken loan from SBI , he had a very good opinion about SBI. I decided to go for SBI, went to J. C. Road branch, Mr.Somshekhar welcomed me and gave brief about loan process. I handed over the application form and details sheet providing principle and interest per year.
Within one months time my loan got approved. I had read that we have to run around people and constantly follow up. I have never done any of these things. Process was very fair and accurate. Mr. Somshekhar had followed up everything and kept me in loop for all communications with Main branch.
You just need to make sure that during inspection you or the builder is with the inspecting authority to provide proper infomration.
Some important points:- You can check with bank how much loan you can apply for(you can check in SBI website also) join home loan application will increase your chances.- Your credit card record for credit card(if you have any) should be clean- Your documents should be up to date (it helps your to process your loan faster)
