State Bank of India is no doubt a big name. The largest bank in the world. And also with the highest no. of ATM across the globe. With big name comes big responsibility. And SBI is really responsible but to some extent. Especially depending on the location or the staff environment or mood. Recently they have hired so many beautiful girls and most of them don't have common sense. They don't know how to talk with customers or how to behave with elders especially when they are not educated.
I have two accounts in SBI and one of them is half the age of mine. Still what I am getting in response is pathetic. I lost my ATM card in 2008 but kept on paying annual charges for it(yes I have reported it) however I applied for new card and kept on paying for 2 cards annual charges for 2 years. However I was not able to use the card because the Pin was not delivered to the branch on time.
Well for everything you will have to go the branch and face stupid questions of those stupid girls. I have even sent written complains and they answered me too. They said if it happens again please complain again and for now please meet the Branch Manager - The Lord of the Idiots. However no all Branch manager are the same. And that was the reason I got another SBI account in another branch but it has been 4 years now and the first branch is unable to connect my both account to one KYC. Though this is their task and they should check it themselves, and despite sending them written requests they are unable to link my both accounts.
There are several other things that I can mention with proofs too, Like I applied for a cheque book(3 Times) but I have not received any till date.
So my advice is simple, never depend on SBI.
