State Bank of India(SBI) enjoys the credit of being the oldest bank of our nation. But, a lot of changes have been carried out in modern banking structure, but SBI still sticks to the very old traditional customer service pattern. The staff members of SBI are never cooperative towards the customers. They are not punctual absolutely.
Although the official timing of most branches of SBI is 10 o'clock in the morning, but the officers arrive to the counters at 11 o'clock when a long queue might have been formed. Counter services are very slow too. Similar is the case with SBI ATMs. No security personnel are deployed at ATMs and if a ATM goes out of order, it takes several weeks to get rectified.
Talking about phone banking of SBI, one need to wait on hold for several minutes before a customer care officer would listen to the customer. So nothing good about this bank can be thought of for sure.
