Well I can understand the euphoria against PSU banks , but u 1st deceide what type of banking u need , if u need a pension banking , or high level corporate banking .
Any way here we r discussing personal banking and for this segment u will find these old banks people( now) much more accomodating and helpful ,( they have to face compitition ) .and with SBI going all out tech savvy u will find this bank much cheaper and more reachable than any other bank in india.
Besides be sure that if SBI collapses indian economical structure will collapse. so u r in best possible safe hand.
For the information of this community , SBI has opened Boutique Branches , which eventually will give a better marathon run for money to other any other banks
