Starbucks needs no introduction. Having traveled abroad earlier, I was familiar with Starbucks and I was eagerly waiting for these giants to infiltrate Mumbai.
Better late than never, Starbucks stepped foot in Mumbai in 2012 and opened one much closer to home ie at Infinity Mall(Malad) much later. I was already a fan but honestly wasn't expecting much. I have eaten at Mc Donalds and KFC and other such franchises abroad and their Indian versions have been sort of disappointed. However, Starbucks here, at Malad exceeded my expectations.
The decor is impeccable. Dark wood decor complete with a community table and a combination of tall and sofa seats complete the Starbucks experience. The staff is cheerful and friendly(as expected) and the music is played at a low decibel without interrupting our deep conversations over piping hot coffees.
My favorite here is the pumpkin latte, which is unfortunately served only during winters. I also love the caramel frappe which is as luscious as the name suggests. They serve a variety of pastries but the chocolate raspberry crunch is my hands down favorite.Good coffee should always be accompanied with good ambience and Starbucks nails it every single time.
