Star Wars franchise appeal to a specific audience. One of the old generation which they have since the old times(70s, 80s, etc.) and the other which they are now trying to appeal to since last decade.
So the Force they are talking about is at a galactic scale. Galaxies and universes are the playthings in Star Wars and considerations of a body like'planet' doesn't occupy much concern. This will become evident as you progress through the Episode VII.
Old generation will give way to the newer ones though some of the equipment survives the tech obsolescence. This episode tries to retain the connect between the era gone by and the one it's likely to usher into.
Basically at the end of the day its about good and evil players. Few flying and light saber stunts here and there and that's the end of it. They must be planning Episode VIII already as this one didn't seem to put anything to finality.
In tech and viewing appeal, I will rate this movie just average. Good thing however is that a new viewer doesn't need any background of its previous episodes. That will be the case with next episode also, I believe.
It's a fast paced movie and will keep you hooked up. Story is average and cast performance is good.
WORTH WATCHING ONCE IF YOU LIKE SI-FI MOVIES OR ARE STAR WARS FAN
