Very male oriented serials. Review on Star Vijay

While serials like Bhagyalakshmi, Pandiyan Stores and such maybe entertaining I think all these serials reek of Male chauvinism and a highly patriarchal mindset. In Bhagyalakshmi the main actress cant take care of her mother or not allowed to!! That's enough reason for me to walk out of a marriage. Pandiyan Stores also shows a typical joint family where the daughter in law has to take persmisoon to go visit her parents. Really! Obnoxious. And the main character agrees bot to have a child for twelve years because her husband told her on the first night that he would have to take care of his brothers and they could not imagine having kids until they are settled which would be for years together. And the main actress's mom says her daughter will have a son as he would carry on the family name and take care of all his brothers. That was the part that put me offcompletely. Why not show working women who balance lives with supportive husbands and who take care of their own parents after marriage like a man does? Time to change the mindset of these and send a good message across.i would actually give a rating of less than 3 but the site is not allowing me to do so
