The new channel on the block. Review on Star One

The Star group?s new channel, ?Star One? launched on November first is a worth watch channel for those who want a respite from those ?kerchief wetting, ever scheming, never ending, long named, blame games, family dramas.

Those serials starting with KKkkks, the same start cast repeated over and over again, in fact the same stories repeated over and over again. I sometimes wonder how do the stars (so called) and the editorial teams keep a track of which serial, which shot is for? Probably by their mobile ring tones.

This new channel has a fresh feel about it. The story lines, punches, treatment of every element, even the commercial for the channel is catchy. Though they have just a few serials to telecast, but the quality of each one of them is good. Be it the comedy riot ?Sarabhai vs Sarabhai?, the cliché ?Guns and Roses?, the story of four friends ?Dil Kya Chahta Hai?, the detective serial ?Special Squad? or teenage headaches with ?Remix?. All of them have the right mix of everything and the right attitude to carry them through.

Once you tune in to any of the channels, you don?t feel like leaving it in the mid way. Moreover the distractions are few. The commercials are very few, and not for any products, but for the serials themselves. However, it probably can be too early to comment about the channel, since its still VERY new. What if it takes the path of the other channels, and becomes the run of the mill channels? In that case I?d probably like to scrap this review, for the better. Lets hope that doesn?t happen ;) .
