There is beef and there is grass fed beef. Beef can pretty much cause chaos for the metabolism. What the cows eat will be what you will eat too when you consume the cows. And if they are eating growth antibiotics, you will be eating them as well.

This can result to increase in body weight because the process of metabolism is disrupted by the change created by the antibiotics. So if you can , buy the grass fed beef instead of the farmed beef.
