This is about a well known financial institute (Standard Chartered Bank) which I thought it is good to deal with however I would like to share my bad experience with this bank. My name is Amit Singh and I applied for a credit card from Standard chartered Bank through Bajaj Finserv# 5491 3256 5000 0504 . I applied for Platinum card with the annual fee of Rs 999 however, they sent me World card I don't know why but the annual fee for this card is Rs 2, 999 . Wow they provided me a card with the credit limit of just Rs 25, 000 and want annual fee Rs 2, 999 . I was shocked when I received a message on my registered mobile number after I swiped it for Rs 20, 000 stating that your due amount is Rs 23, 369.68.
I called their customer service and spoke to a gentleman. I explained the story and asked him to either increase my limit or convert my card into platinum which I actually applied. He said it can only be done after 6 months and that is also not sure. I asked him that I used 20, 000 so I would rather cancel this card and pay the amount which I used. I also said that please cancel my card only in case you would not charge that 3369.68 as annual fee and provide me the NOC . He agreed, however I again called up after 2 days and came to know that card got cancelled and they advised me to send the complaint at head.service@sc.com.
I was very disappointed and did the same. After 2 weeks I got a reply stating that they cannot reverse those Rs 3569.68 as it is a basic charge of the card for the limit of Rs 25000 . Now yesterday I again explained the entire story to the manager in Bangalore branch and she said that they have not received any revert for my complaint and asked me to wait for few days. I got an sms again stating that I need to pay Rs 4076.51 as a due amount after paying my used amount of Rs 20, 000.
I have never seen such a fake bank which is trying to make money by doing fraud. I have been using ICICI bank card and got the same card which I applied. Please guyz beware of this " Standard Chartered Bank" as you will definitely loose your money and patience and also faith in other financial institutions which are doing good job.
Please do not have faith in this bank and I don't know that how they will steal my money.
