This is the worst card you can ever think of. My problem with Manhattan Card started 2 years back. All of a sudden in one month they reverted back (deducted) money that I had already paid. On asking for clarification they didn't respond for around 1.5 years, So I stopped using the card and didn' pay the amount that they reverted back from my account. As a result tax and late fine got accumulated. After around 2 years they came back to settle the account. I paid the amount that was resonable and they issued me a letter telling that the amount paid is towards the final settlement
After around 6 months, for home loan when I contacted "Standard Chartered", nobody informed me anything initially and kept me saying that the loan will be sanctioned on time. At the last moment when the draft was about to be released, they again raised the issue related to Manhattan card saying that my name appears in the defaulters list and I must pay the remaining amount(tax late fine etc.) to get the loan sanctioned. I had to pay that amount as I had to get my flat registered immediately. Manhattan & Standard Chartered people neither have respect for their words nor for the letter they issue. If I had time, I would have dragged them to consumer court but unfortunately I couldn't delay the reistration of my house.
In short they are simply cheaters and can pull the chair at the last moment. So, my advice is be careful with Manhattan Card people and Standard Chartered Bank
