The standard chartered Bank is not for any of us common people because we don't have money and don't have standards to even open a bank account all we do is put few thousand in account and ask for services that we are not eligible to have.
Don't get me wrong. This is not my wordings but the wordings of the standard chartered Bank accounts employee when she had argument with me when I asked to open a an bank account with my own 5000 rupees savings.
The incident happened in Mohali when I decided to open a bank account as because of the online services and its many offers. So I decided to go and waste my time to go there as online services were not seem to be in operation. I took the form and was directed to an employee who seemed to already in some moody temper. And when I said those words she just rained her bad wordings and harassment.I immediately went outside not wanting to have any kind of scene.
I know I have heard that many NRI open their accounts in standard chartered and is not an Indian company but such behavior will not help them survive here. So obviously I won't recommend at all to any one unless you want to get harassed. Don't go here there are better options like SBI.
