Today morning went to St John, s which was near to my hostel Holy Cross. I decided to go to emergency for the treatment of my severe pain in the upper back & neck due to lifting heavy bag at Bangalore railway station. I was looking for instant relief from the pain which made me still, was not able to move a bit. Diagnosis was for muscular sprain due to lifting of heavy bag. My x-ray was done which was normal. An ortho doctor checked me and prescribed few medicines for 3 days. No other diagnosis was required, it was very clear that no major problem was there, just a sprain. As soon as casualty Dr saw my results normal and saw the prescription of ortho Dr, he asked me to get ECG done which was surprising, I opposed the Dr saying ECG not required as I just need few days tablets and complete rest, what else they wanted to check related to my heart. Dr forced me for ECG saying because I am 41 so we have to check. I had to listen to the Dr, I got ECG done and afterwards no Dr at casualty bother to see my ECG results. What does that mean? It was just unnecessary and way of making money. Oh where to go, whom to trust. I am cribbing myself that why I did not raise my voice when I realized that they are just making money out of me. Everything is business:-( Please make yourself aware of diagnosis, keep yourself updated about your illness. Read a lot before approaching a Dr or any hospital so that you can avoid getting cheated.
