I studied in SFX so I used to take pride in my school. But it's been ruined by the current principal and management. I've watched on the sidelines as the school has gone down the drain, and it's absolutely heartbreaking. What was once a prestigious school with remarkable academics has become a money market where the parents are coerced into paying up high donations on a regular basis. Admission fees are sky rocketing. Students and parents have to make contributions to concerts and plays which actually the school should sponsor. We never paid for these events when we studied there.
There's no heart, no mercy and no excuses. Clearly they are looking to gather as much funds as they can without thinking about the stress on parents who are already financially struggling.
Academics seems to be pushed to the back benches with the exams being shuffled around concerts, because the concerts make money. Teachers, parents and students are scared to raise their voices because they fear they will be targeted or their children will suffer.
Students are suspended for ridiculous reasons. When we were in school, respecting teachers was embedded into us, but it's clear that students are not given the value education that was once taught well in this school.
Teachers are not granted leave as the school should be top priority even if your dying.
Teachers are also forced to work for events and fests with no overtime pay, while the school makes more money. They are are also underpaid.
It's not like the students learn anything great.
The school has turned out to be not worth it. They prey on the weakness of every parent: the child and their future.
Clearly, God and Jesus and Christianity have taken a backseat to Money. The school's prayers should start with "Dear, Money. We thank you for your blessings."
I wouldn't advice putting your kid in this school, at least not under the current dictatorship.
