We are group of parents who have put together a list of issues/concerns that our children are facing. This exercise is not to tarnish or bring any disrepute to the once famous school known throughout Bangalore, for its excellent teaching, discipline & overall development of the children.
Some of us who are alumnae of this once very famous school can easily see with pain, the pathetic state of affairs at the school.
• The teachers are rude, the children are afraid to approach them as they fear the teachers will turn vindictive. The children also do not want their parents to talk to their teachers for the same reason.
• The teachers are not knowledgeable about the subjects they are teaching. This is really pathetic as this is the basic duty of the teachers. Some of them do a half-baked teaching and do not clarify their doubts. It is up to us parents to teach the children and clarify their doubts.
• The Examination conducted by the school is another concern. There will be some mistakes or the other in the question papers and on top of it the correction done by teachers are pathetic.
Once a year after the half yearly exams are evaluated, parents are allowed to see the answer scripts of their children. Every time we have identified the inconsistencies in their evaluation and brought this to their notice.
The teachers promise us that it will be rectified and nothing happens. The children get really demotivated.
• The toilets are the worst, they are so unclean many of our children do not use them at all.
• During the PTA which happens very rarely, we parents raised some of the above concerns, not much of action has been taken so far. The entire exercise of PTA has failed.
