SSh SSshh sssshhh.......fair teenage movie. Review on Sssshhh

Sssshhh... is an edge of the seat murder mystery thriller set in the winter 2002. The calmness of a beautiful town is broken when Malini Gujral (Simone Singh) a local girl is brutally killed one night. Malini’s brutal death has a very bad effect on her bubby younger sister Mahek (Tanisha) who goes into a shell and cannot seem to come to terms with this tragedy.

Malini’s friends, the pushy and possessive Gehna (Suvarna Jha), the film buff Rajat (Gaurav Kapur), the bike freak Nikhil (Kushal Punjabi) and his not so smart girlfriend Riya (Teena Choudhry), try very hard to get Mahek out of her shell. Also trying to cheer up Mahek is her childhood pal, the loud and extrovert brat… Rocky (Dino Morea)… who deep down inside has more than a soft corner for her.

Then everyone realizes that Mahek needs is a change. A holiday! This coupled with everyone’s personal reasons, sees this group of seven head off from the foggy locales of Shimla to the sunny beaches of Bangkok. The ideal change! In Thailand, its all fun and games for them for a while, even as the love triangle intensifies between Rocky, Mahek and Suraj...They get there. But little do they know that many or most of them will not come back!

THE FILM:

Cinevistaas Ltd.’’Sssshhh’’,directed by Pavan Kaul,stars Dino Morea,Karan Nath,introduces Kajol`s younger sister Tanisha,with Gaurav Kapoor,Kushal Punjabi,Suvarna Jha and Teena Chowdhary.The title of the movie (Sssshhh),itself is very different,unusual and interesting.People will be thinking that in which genre will the film fall?Is it a horror movie or a murder mystery?So,there is lots of curiosity for the movie

The Main Characters:

Dino Morea(raaz) plays Rocky who is a spoiled brat,makes us laugh and has more than a soft corner for Mahek....

Karan(Yeh Dil Aashiqaana)Nath:He plays Sooraj who is honest, shy and a inovert.He is in love with Mahek and Wants to marry her.

Mahek(Tanisha):She plays Mahek who is dumbstruck when her sister is brutally murdered.

The other friends:Rajat(Gaurav kapoor);;Gehna(suvarna Jha);;Nikhil(kushal punjabi);;Riya(tina choudhary)

Pros:

The film has been given amazing special effects,which make the film look very stylish,attractive nad more watchable.Hiroo Keswani`s cinematography is also wonderful.He has captured the scenery of island`s so beautifully and the movements of the camera,makes the film look more exciting.Background score,is very impactful.At every scene,the music behind suits so much with that particular scene,that it will make you glued to the screen.Anu Malik`s music is also fair.Songs like ’’Ishq Da Mara Hai’’ and ’’Sapne’’ are enjoyable and entertaining.

Cons:

Pavan Kaul`s direction is poor,because nothing supported him much,like the screenplay by Arshad Syed,which is the weakest link.The viewer will get confused and will be guessing how it happened so?Like,why the killer wants to kill all the friends,or even an innocent lady teacher.The viewer will also not understand,why the killer doesn`t kill Mahek directly,like when Mahek was alone in the bathroom,why the killer didn`t killed her and killed the teacher instead?There are also no chills and thrills and the climax is pale.The killer is wearing a mask,which seems like,that of a joker or a clown.It seems as if the killer is there to entertain kids and not thrilling the audiences.The love triangle is also one another problem with the film,which interferes in the going ons of the movie.So,these things prove that the editing is loose.
