I have visited srisailam in the year of 2013 in my industrial tour, It is one of the rare hindu pilgrimage where both shiva and shakti is said to reside.We hired a bus for Srisailam from Hyderabad. The road is quite good, hence the journey was comfortable. It was very exciting when we climbed the Nallamala hills near the destination, the vegetation changed to thick forests, and we entered the Srisailam tiger reserve and crossed the river over the Srisailam dam to reach the temple town on the other side.
We booked a hotel in temple premises and took rest for a night in the hotel next day early morning we visited the temple and the temple was really awesome, swamy mallikarjuna looks attractive. After darshanam we had lunch and started to visit power plant down the hill. The hill way was too good and exciting and some what scary.The nature down the hill was awesome and we had boating in the river but the water level was too low.We visited the power plant and had lot of fun there and learned so many things about the power plant and about srisailam history.
